We recently funded the installation of an adaptive swing at Dagg Park. Seeing kids use it right away was a good reminder of why this work matters. Public spaces should feel welcoming to everyone. This is a small step, and we plan to build on it with continuing projects that make North Kansas City more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for all families.

We’re starting to raise funds for our next projects, including:

• Additional adaptive play equipment so more kids can enjoy our parks
• Community park events (e.g. family movie nights, yoga in the park)
• Shade, benches, and landscape improvements to make our parks more welcoming
• Pollinator and native planting zones to preserve green space and biodiversity
